Spring- May

As they travel through the mainstem of the Chesapeake Bay, we witness some of the best angling the Spring has to offer!

The Spring is also your best chance to catch giant Blue Catfish! When water salinity is low, these fish move throughout the Chesapeake Bay and are a rod bending good time that is fun for all ages!

Spending time with Friends and Family is what it is all about! We look forward to meeting your Crew and creating memories that last a lifetime!

Summer- June & July

The weather is starting to heat up and so is the fishing in Maryland! During this month we typically transition to live bait and light tackle fishing for Striped Bass. Not only are the fish plentiful, they are typically healthy, and put up a great fight!

Bottom fish such as White Perch, Cat Fish, and Spot are typically plentiful during early Summer months. Blue Fish normally make there first appearance in late July. Blue fish and Spanish Mackerel become more plentiful as the Chesapeake Bay heats up during the Summer months. Additional migratory species move further up the Chesapeake Bay as the weather heats up!

*Special Notice for the Month of August*: Trips from August 1st to August 31st will not target Striped Bass due to Maryland Law. Species of target will include Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Sea Trout, Black Drum, Red Drum, Cobia, Perch, Spot, Croaker, Channel Catfish, & Blue Catfish, and any additional seasonal species if available.

Blue Catfish are not just great to eat, they are actually an invasive species on the Chesapeake Bay. Helping catch these fish is not only fun, its positive for our local fishery in Maryland!

During the month of August we will also focus on targeting Chesapeake Bay Blue Catfish. These fish put up a great fight and are excellent to eat! Not only are you catching dinner, your helping protect the future Crabs and related species in the Chesapeake Bay by targeting this invasive species!

The Chesapeake Bay is the world’s largest estuary spanning 64,000 square miles and six states. Besides legality, the seasonality of what is caught is based on what Mother Nature will unknowingly bless us with. That’s why it’s called fishing!

September & October

The beginning of September restarts our Striped Bass Season. Light tackle fishing is fantastic this time of the year and one of our favorite months in Maryland! Cooler temperatures lead to moments of great excitement on the Chesapeake Bay!

As we transition into Autumn, cooler temperatures signal a changing of the seasons. Schools of menhaden start to show up in the mainstem of the Chesapeake Bay. This can only mean one thing, it’s the start of “Rock-tober” on the Chesapeake Bay! This annual phenomenon creates some of most visually entertaining, bait busting, top water fishing of the year!

Additional Species such as Blue Fish, White Perch, Spot, and Cat Fish can typically be targeted during this time period.
